Here is some information about our activities in Anti-Bullying Week.
Our School Council discussed the importance of democracy today. Following this, we voted for the winning anti-bullying poster in each class.
We debated the topic of Freedom of Speech with other schools in our network. We linked it to our recent Black History Month learning and shared how we were inspired by people speaking out in support of their communities to bring about positive change.
Thank you to all the children and families who brought in harvest donations of food. This year, we will be supporting families in crisis by giving our food donations to South Liverpool Foodbank.
Today, we learnt all about African Dancing as part of our Black History Month celebrations.
The families and children of Heygreen have shown the value of being ‘supportive’ this week in our fundraiser for MacMillan Cancer Support.
The children in Years 1-6 have the opportunity this week to write their own manifesto in the hope of being elected as their class School Council representative. The election will take place next week in a fair and democratic election.
