Over the past few weeks, the children have been learning about bullying and the impact that this can have on people. They have become knowledgable about this subject and can now confidently identify what Heygreen does to prevent bullying and know what to do if they are bullied – I.e they are free to speak out.
It was lovely to have Reverend June in school today and for her to join in with our assembly.
Today the children raised money for Children in Need and spent some time thinking about children less fortunate than themselves. This linked with our school values – Respectful, Supportive, Responsible & Proud. Altogether, the children raised £162.00.
We were very proud of our Teaching & Learning Team for their amazing presentation in Farrington today on, ‘How Best Do We Learn?”
Today, a group of our Year 6 children took part in a debate about homework and whether this helps learning. There were lots of good reasons for homework and equally against homework. These views can be found on our pupil voice page.
